Raeanne Smith (Library Director) started with the Genesee Library in May of 2017. Before that Raeanne earned her associates degree in culinary arts from Alfred State College. She has worked in various restaurants throughout Cattaraugus County including eight seasons at Cummins Cider Mill and the Seneca Allegany Casino. Raeanne enjoys sharing her knowledge of food with her patrons by teaching cooking classes. July of 2022 Raeanne was awarded the Sustainable Practices Award from the Southern Tier Library System. In July of 2022 Raeanne became a dual director as she took on the Director Position at the Scio Memorial Library.
Julie Fletcher (Librarian)
Librarian Julie Fletcher joined the Genesee Library in 2019. Previously Julie had spent a little over a decade as a freelance writer and author. Julie has written several books as a ghostwriter, but has one novel under her own name in the horror genre. She enjoys herbalism and mycology, Julie can be found taking pictures of local plants and mushrooms. In October of 2023 Julie became a dual librarian at the Scio Memorial Library and looks forward to the challenge.
